Job Description
We are looking for an Emergency Medical Assistant (EMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team in Bream Bay.
This is a permanent position, working an average of 42 hours on a DDDD roster.
We are looking for driven and compassionate individuals who are committed to help us achieve our mission, and who have a willingness to demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John core values - Do the right thing, Side by side, straight up, Make it better, Open minds.
In this role you will :
Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care
Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
Complete other relevant administrative tasks.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have :
A current St John Authority to Practice at EMT level
Demonstrated excellent operational and clinical performance to date
Excellent driving record
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
The ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated being an excellent team player
Evidence of CCE
New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or work visa
Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tu Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui)
