Starting salary : $58,708.00 + superannuation

The role

As a Regional Data Collection Specialist, you will work within our frontline teams, building relationships with the business and social communities of Aotearoa, and enabling collection of data from all types of respondents via their channel of choice. This role is about providing a great user experience for respondents - one that builds trust, is seamless, convenient, safe and recognises their contribution to Aotearoa.

Our Regional Data Collection Specialists thrive in a dynamic and flexible work environment. They actively engage with communities from Monday to Sunday, at various times throughout the day, from morning to evening. This role is primarily focused on face to face interviewing out in the local community, so regular travel is a big part of the role. The role is multi-modal, meaning that when required, you will flex into phone and email-based work ensuring a diverse and stimulating work experience. It offers a unique blend of activities that keep the job interesting and rewarding. Additionally, the position requires a reasonable level of fitness, as it involves frequent walking and driving to visit households.

This remote work requires someone who can work efficiently on their own and must have access to fast and reliable internet, a current full New Zealand driver\'s license, and a legally roadworthy, insured vehicle. We will set you up to work from home, and provide you with the equipment, training, and on-going support you need to succeed and remain safe while carrying out your work.

This role would suit someone who can bring :

  • 2 plus years\' experience working in customer service or a similar field.
  • Experience using everyday office software including a laptop / tablet, phone, Microsoft suit of products, online communications channels for meetings and chat. Including the ability to pick up new systems / technology with ease.
  • Strong customer focus, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others, including having strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work at times that suit survey participants, which will include evenings and weekends.
  • Be able to work remotely, including having strong, reliable internet and a current full New Zealand driver\'s licence.
  • It would be desirable to have knowledge of local areas and connection to different social, cultural or business groups.
  • If your application is successful, you will be required to attend a mandatory induction training in person. This training will take place over one week, from 3rd - 7th November 2025, in Auckland. Please note that your application will not progress if you are unable to commit to these dates.
