Opportunities to grow : As part of the Lumino network, you'll have access to ongoing training and development opportunities across the wider organisation.Central location : Mt Eden is a lively, well-connected suburb with a strong sense of community.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist AND a Sterilisation Assistant to join our fast-paced clinic — someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and brings strong organisational and communication skills to the role.Dental ReceptionistAs our Dental Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for patients — both in person and over the phone — and play a key role in keeping our clinic running smoothly.

You'll need to manage multiple priorities at once : scheduling appointments, responding to enquiries, processing payments, and coordinating with our clinical team in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients at the front desk and over the phoneEfficiently manage appointment scheduling and confirmationsProcess patient payments and maintain accurate recordsMonitor and respond to emails and patient queries in a timely mannerCoordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and schedulingProvide general administrative support to the practice manager and wider teamSterilisation AssistantAs our Sterilisation Assistant, you'll be a critical part of our team!

You'll support our experienced clinicians with various dental procedures during patient appointments, and take ownership of instrument sterilisation, infection control, and stock management.Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments and equipmentAccurately monitoring and recording sterilisation processesAssisting with infection control procedures across the clinicEnsuring compliance with health and safety regulationsAssisting with stock managementSupporting clinical staff with room setups and patient turnaroundAssisting chairside with procedures (training provided)Providing occasional support at reception (training provided)QualificationsAbout YouThese are not entry-level roles.

We're looking for candidates who can hit the ground running and have prior experience in a dental or medical setting.

You\'ll need to be calm under pressure, quick to adapt, and confident communicating with a wide range of people.You must currently reside in New Zealand and have work rightsAt least 1 year of experience in a dental or medical receptionist / assistant role (essential)Strong English communication skills – both spoken and writtenProficiency with dental / medical software (EXACT experience is a plus)Excellent multitasking and time management skillsA positive, proactive attitude and a strong commitment to patient careThe ability to stay composed and organised in a fast-moving environmentComfort handling used medical equipment — not for the faint of heart!
