• About the Role
• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Histology team at Hawke’s Bay Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential diagnostic services in a supportive and professional environment.As a Laboratory Technician in the Histology department, you will be responsible for : + Processing and preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination.+ Performing routine histology techniques, including embedding, sectioning, and staining.+ Ensuring quality control and compliance with laboratory standards.+ Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment.+ Collaborating with laboratory scientists and pathologists to support accurate diagnostics.

• About you
• To be successful in this role, you will : + Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology.+ Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.+ Have experience working in a histology laboratory or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area.+ Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and technical skills.+ Have strong communication and teamwork abilities.+ Be committed to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous professional development.
