Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll lead daily operations, troubleshoot and maintain machinery, and ensure top-quality output while driving continuous improvement.This is more than just managing production, it's about inspiring a team, building accountability, and fostering growth.
Your leadership, hands-on mechanical know-how, and understanding of automation will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities : Lead, develop, and motivate a production team.Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and automation equipment.Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime.Make timely decisions to keep operations efficient.Manage workloads, absenteeism, and shift coverage.Use data and reports to drive productivity, reduce waste, and improve processes.QualificationsYou'll bring at least five years' manufacturing experience and although this is a leadership position, we are open to candidates who are ready to step into people leadership and will provide training and development to support their progression.You're mechanically minded, tech-savvy, and happy to get hands-on with machinery.
You'll also have : Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in mechanical or production challenges.A proactive, action-oriented approach with a hands-on mindset.Clear communication and accountability in leadership, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Financial awareness to manage costs, productivity, and equipment efficiency.The ability to train, mentor, and develop others in both operational and technical skills.Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, or a hands-on trade with proven experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery.Additional InformationWhat's on OfferJoin a supportive, innovative workplace where your input truly matters.
