We’re a charitable organisation dedicated to assisting children, young people and their whānau who require support and counselling interventions. We service contracts with government agencies such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Oranga Tamariki.

We have a range of services available to our communities :
- Mirror Counselling service offers children and young people with emotional, behavioural and / or mental health problems, a range of counselling tailored services specifically for their needs.
- Mirror HQ Youth Addiction service provides alcohol and other drug services for young people aged 12 to 22 years of age.
- Mirror Youth Day Programme is a programme that helps young people aged 13-18 years manage their lives and address alcohol and drug issues.
- FASD pathway Mirror Counselling Service, FASD Pathway provides support and screening for children and young people impacted by maternal alcohol use.
- Mokopuna Ora is a service to support 0–5-year-olds and their whānau in the community
- Kaimarie Māori hauora is our specific kaimahi to assist in meeting the needs of Māori clients and their whānau.
- Clinical Psychologist – this service specialises in psychological assessment and consults with young people and their whānau.
- School Counselling Service works with tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau through school referrals.
About you :
We are after team players that are adaptive, intuitive, independent and able to take feedback and learn and grow with us. You’ll have worked in the social sector before and bring your experience and knowledge to the table.
Ideally, you will have some, if not all the following :
Qualification / s in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, child & adolescent mental health, alcohol & drug, or counsellingAn understanding of what it means to be a Te Tiriti of Waitangi partnerDemonstrated experience & knowledge in mental health & psychological interventionsExperience in working with whānau and building on individual strengthsRegistration with a professional body (or working towards)Expertise or familiarity in working with Youth and TamarikiBe an independent thinker and have a solution-focused personalityHave existing relationships in the social and education sector in Invercargill / SouthlandWhy work for us?
