About the Role
Hybrid role with flexible working based in Auckland Central. Minimum 3 days per week in office.
Salary will be $100,000 to $114,570 + KiwiSaver contribution.
Geospatial Systems Specialist with strong Windows Server system admin experience.
We are looking for a Geospatial Specialist (Systems) to lead the administration and optimisation of Auckland Council’s geospatial platforms. In this role you will work closely with Enterprise Infrastructure staff to ensure geospatial servers and applications are secure, reliable and performing at their best.
You will also provide consulting services across development teams and business units, acting as a subject matter expert for geospatial systems and promoting best practice. From developing processes and standards, to supporting project planning and system upgrades, this role is central to maintaining trust in our geospatial environments.
Responsibilities
You will bring strong technical expertise in geospatial systems and server administration, combined with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. With experience supporting complex geospatial platforms, you will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders and building trusted relationships across diverse teams.
