We blend design, engineering, and analytics to build the future.What You'll DoAs a member of the Data Strategy team, your objective is to align Slalom's clients' business strategies with their data initiatives, craft a compelling value case for data utilisation, and establish success metrics to measure impact.
You will ensure implemented strategies deliver tangible outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
You will define how clients use data to drive their business, foster a culture that enables and encourages data and AI usage, listen and understand, and work in environments with complex stakeholder relationships.
By assessing the current state, you will propose solutions that incorporate technology, ways of working, data literacy, governance, and change.Responsibilities include : Advise clients on establishing a data-driven culture that aligns with strategic objectives and underpins decision-making.Conduct maturity assessments to understand current data and AI culture and define target maturity levels.Propose a roadmap with tailored solutions and capabilities to bridge the maturity gap, integrating scalable systems, establishing reference architecture, and addressing data sharing, ethics, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.Optimize organisational structures and processes to support agile data and analytics efforts, ensuring a flow from data collection to actionable insights.Collaborate with clients to execute data and AI roadmaps, taking ownership of initiatives and guiding transformation.Deliver transformative solutions aligned to industry best practices and provide thought leadership in data and AI.What You'll BringTo excel as a Data Strategist, you will need a blend of analytics capabilities, technical acumen, and project management.
Specifically you will bring : Experience building holistic data strategies, assessing outcomes and current state, and making functional and technical recommendations for foundational data needs.Profound knowledge of modern cloud-based architectures, tools, and processes; ability to prioritise and drive 2–3-year roadmaps with estimates of duration, cost, and effort.Some knowledge of Data Governance to help establish programs and define KPIs to monitor results and effectiveness.A minimum of 7+ years in a consulting firm with ability to create proposals from ambiguity.Experience leading large multi-practice projects or multiple projects with cross-functional teams to align business goals with data-driven solutions.Experience recommending operating models and organisational changes at divisional level; advised executives on value and governance structures.Collaboration with clients to identify barriers to execution and advise on alignment and action; experience in building data & analytics business cases.Participation in multiple data transformation programs (e.g., Customer 360, MDM, PIM) and guiding strategy transformations that drive cultural shifts.General understanding of strengths and weaknesses of tools across three or more core Data & Analytics roles (Data Science, Data Quality, Data Engineer, Application Integration Engineer, Data Visualization Specialist).
