We are seeking a strategic leader who builds trust across unions, government, and the health sector, and who navigates complexity with courage, clarity, and collaboration.
As a trusted advisor to the Health NZ Board and Chief Executive, the Head provides expert guidance on industrial relations, remuneration, and negotiation strategy.
This includes leading complex bargaining processes, designing fiscally responsible employment frameworks, and ensuring alignment with HNZ's operational and financial priorities.
Success in this role depends on building constructive, enduring relationships with unions representing HNZ employees.
Through positive engagement, the Head helps shape agreements that reflect the needs of our workforce and support the delivery of high-quality, efficient healthcare.
