About the role
Were excited to expand our Radiation Therapy service as part of Te Puriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service, which delivers over 48,000 radiation treatments annually across the Northern Region.
This is a unique opportunity to join a service spanning Whangarei and Auckland, providing equitable access to high-quality cancer care for our communities.
As a Staff Radiation Therapist, youll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-focused Radiation Therapy while contributing to service development, quality improvement, and mentoring junior staff.
Youll bring clinical expertise, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for equitable, evidence-based cancer care.
These are permanent positions offering full-time or part-time arrangements.

About the Team / Service / Location
As a Radiation Therapist at Te Puriri o Te Ora, youll join a growing, regionally connected service that combines the new, purpose-built Radiation Therapy unit in Whangarei with established facilities in Auckland.
Youll be working alongside experienced Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and dedicated support staff in both locations, contributing to teaching, research, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Te Puriri o Te Ora is the name that has been gifted to our northern regional cancer and blood services by Kahurangi Rangimarie Naida Glavish of Ngati Whatua, Chief Advisor Tikanga for Te Toka Tumai Auckland.
Te Puriri o Te Ora means "the Puriri tree of wellbeing" and speaks to the many qualities and gifts of the Puriri tree and our aspiration to provide a place of healing and wellbeing for our communities.
Te Puriri o Te Ora is the biggest cancer and blood service within Aotearoa, providing care to approximately 40% of the country.
We provide a wide range of services including Medical and Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Awhinatia Te Tangata (specialist Maori Health team), Cancer Support Team (specialist psychological and social support), Research, Genetics Services, and the NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service.
The values that underpin the way we care and work with patients, whanau and kaimahi across Te Puriri o Te Ora are Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Ahurutanga, Mana Motuhake and Wairuatanga.
