As a Configuration Management Engineer at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of network and service data. Working within a dynamic Managed Services team, you will independently address both complex and recurring challenges, utilizing your analytical skills to drive process improvements. Your responsibilities will include leading cross-functional teams in executing complex change requests, and developing Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for medium- to high-risk operations. You’ll collaborate closely with other functions, engaging with internal teams and external partners to resolve high-impact incidents. In our fast-paced, innovative environment, you’ll have the opportunity to take initiative, influence best practices, and contribute to strategic projects that enhance service delivery. Your work will directly impact our service quality and efficiency, making your contributions vital to our team's success in the telecommunications sector.

  • Ensure end-to-end configuration and change management, maintaining network and service data accuracy within agreed SLAs.
  • Resolve complex problems collaboratively by leveraging analytical skills and best practices in the Managed Services context.
  • Plan and execute configuration changes and problem resolutions, developing Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for medium- to high-risk operations.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners to address high-impact incidents and risks promptly.
  • Translate global standardized procedures into tailored guidelines for specific customer contexts, enhancing service delivery effectiveness.
  • Monitor service tickets, taking corrective actions to mitigate risks to service levels, including re-prioritizing tasks and engaging additional resources as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and training to team members while acting as a team or project leader, overseeing task allocation and performance assessments.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability by sharing knowledge and encouraging new ideas that align with evolving business needs

You have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, telecommunication, or software development.
  • 3-5 years directly related experience in NZ's telecomunication experience with particular focus on the aggregation network.
  • Knowledge and experience with containerization and related support tools.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, REST API, JavaScript UX / UI design, and MS-SQL or similar databases.
  • New Zealand citizenship, residency, or work visa.
  • It would be nice if you also had :

  • Advanced presentation skills tailored for technical audiences
  • Experience in complex support fault management for network solutions
  • Background in process automation scripting
  • Previous experience in tool software development
