Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We're looking for a
Product Owner
to join our Parcel Notifications team. A critical squad powering the text, email, and push notifications that keep Kiwis updated as their parcels move through our network.This team sits close to our Mobile App squad, playing a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and meaningful updates via digital channels. We've made great progress and now we're entering an exciting rebuild phase, especially on the email notification side. Think system redesigns, new scan event triggers, and improvements that increase operational stability and compliance.You'll sit in the sweet spot between product thinking and business analysis—taking ownership of the backlog while also getting hands-on with requirements, process mapping, and compliance considerations. You'll work closely with key stakeholders, our developers, testers, and other delivery partners to ship high-quality notification experiences across SMS, email, and push.You'll achieve this through
Owning and refining the product backlog for parcel notifications
Working closely with the Mobile App team to align notification strategies
Defining, documenting and validating scan events that trigger messaging
Supporting the redesign of legacy systems into modern notification frameworks
Ensuring high standards of compliance, reliability, and auditability
Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contractors
Championing agile ways of working within a lean, delivery-focused squad
Mōu - About you
You might be a Product Owner with a knack for analysis, or a Business Analyst ready to step into product leadership. Either way, you're detail-driven, collaborative, and excited to improve customer experience at scale.You'll be confident managing digital capabilities across various digital channels and have the ability to lead a product roadmap while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. As an innovative thinker you challenge the status quo and work collaboratively to deliver creative, engaging and intuitive digital solutions.You'll also bring
Strong experience managing roadmaps and backlogs with multiple stakeholders
Familiarity with digital design and "test and learn" approaches
A passion for customer experience, and a sharp eye for what adds value
Agile certification or equivalent hands-on experience
Proficiency with Jira and product delivery tools
Comfort working across .NET / C# environments and with dev / test teams
An understanding of SDLC, continuous delivery, and user story development
