We’re seeking an inspiring Service Manager to lead a 24 / 7 youth respite service in Albany , supporting young people aged 16–25 . This short-term, community-based service provides a crucial alternative to inpatient admission, offering safe and supportive respite for rangatahi experiencing mental distress. This role includes on-call responsibilities.
In this role, you will :
- Guide, support, and develop a passionate team delivering person-centred care.
- Ensure services are safe, effective, culturally responsive, and grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and drive continuous service improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with tāngata whaiora, whānau, clinical teams, and community partners.

The successful candidate will have :
Full professional registration and a current APC under the HPCA Act 2003 (e.g., Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, AOD Clinician).Proven leadership and team management experience.Strong knowledge of mental health and addiction services.A relevant Level 7+ tertiary qualification .A full, clean NZ driver’s licence .Your communication skills, cultural competence, and collaborative style will help shape a service where young people feel safe, supported, and heard.Why Apply :
