Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join the New Zealand team of a leading global technology company. This flexible, contractor-level role (approx. 24 hrs / week) offers independence, variety, and the chance to work with advanced equipment for professional clients across the country. Please note we can only accept applicants with NZ working rights at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair high-tech equipment across NZ
  • Handle both scheduled maintenance and urgent breakdowns
  • Provide clear, professional support and training to clients
  • Keep accurate records and manage stock effectively
  • Travel as required (domestic, with potential overseas training)

What you bring

  • Qualifications in Electrical / Electronics / Biomedical or related field
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience servicing complex equipment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and solve problems under pressure
  • Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Part-time contract (around 3 days per week) with scope to grow
  • Global organisation with strong support and training provided
  • Independence to manage your own time and workload
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse client base in a role where no two days are the same
