Help shape one of the most ambitious AI transformations in Aotearoa. Our client is building an AI-enabled workforce and they need a seasoned AI engineer to drive the frameworks, tooling, and foundations that power intelligent agents across the business.

Auckland or Fully Remote (NZ-based only) | 6-Month Contract

Why This Role Matters

This isn’t just about building models, it’s about enabling others to build safely, efficiently, and at scale. You’ll join the Agentic Platforms team as a hands-on generalist who can think strategically, code practically, and communicate clearly with stakeholders from engineers to executives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architecting and evolving AI frameworks and design patterns
• Enabling secure, accurate, and scalable AI agent deployments
• Developing best practice guidelines for internal teams adopting GenAI
• Supporting integrations with SharePoint, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Snowflake
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate complex needs into simple AI-powered solutions
• Driving knowledge sharing and standardisation across teams

You’ll work alongside passionate AI engineers in a lean, supportive squad. This role is replacing some of the hands-on bandwidth of the AI Engineering Lead, so autonomy, maturity, and strong decision-making are essential. You won’t just build-you’ll enable others to build better.
