Senior Geotechnical Engineer

RDCL is on the hunt for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Wellington office and play a pivotal role in delivering smart, practical engineering solutions across Aotearoa.

Enduring partnerships are at the core of our business; we strive to respect people and place in all we do.Lead and deliver geotechnical assessments across a broad range of sectors; infrastructure, land development, mining and civil works.Prepare and review high-quality reports, designs, and geotechnical modelsProvide technical input across all stages of project delivery, from scoping to executionWork closely with geotechnical engineers, geologists, geophysicists, and technicians to deliver integrated solutionsMentor junior staff and support their professional developmentBuild strong relationships with clients and help identify new business opportunitiesSupport health & safety, quality, and project delivery best practices across the businessTo be successful in this role you'll needA relevant engineering degree (Geotechnical or Civil);Be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng )At least 8 – 10 years' experience in geotechnical consulting in New Zealand or similar settingProven experience delivering site investigations, slope stability, retaining wall, foundation design, and construction supportFamiliarity with local ground conditions, standards, and regulatory requirementsExcellent report writing, analysis and communication skillsStrong project management experience and a proactive approach to problem solvingA passion for mentoring others and contributing to team developmentNZ residency or valid NZ work visa & clean full NZ driver's licenseTo be proficient with Microsoft Office and attention to detail with numerical datasetsA strong health and safety awarenessAble to travel across NZ during the working week & capable to work outdoorsYou will beJoining a business that puts their people at the centre of what they do.
