About the Role
As Building Zone Manager, you’ll oversee a key area of the store, leading your team to deliver outstanding service, strong sales performance, and operational excellence. You will play an essential role in supporting store-wide leadership, driving customer satisfaction, and empowering your team to perform at their best.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and team members within your zone.
- Deliver an exceptional and seamless customer experience for every shopper.
- Maintain high merchandising and presentation standards, ensuring stock is replenished and displayed effectively.
- Support store operations through duty management, customer resolution, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Manage rostering, wage budgets, and department performance targets.
- Drive marketing initiatives, promotions, and events that enhance the customer experience.
- Oversee team recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, operational standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Build product knowledge and share expertise to support customers and team development.
- Communicate issues and opportunities with urgency and clarity to the store leadership team.
What You’ll Bring
Strong experience in retail or trade operations.Leadership capability with a passion for motivating and developing people.Excellent communication skills and a genuine customer-first mindset.Strong skills in rostering, budgeting, financial acumen, and inventory control.Knowledge of NZ retail legislation and store compliance requirements (or willingness to learn).Comfortable using systems and mobile devices.A full New Zealand driver’s licence.Who You Are
