Join an exciting project as a consultant or director for a three-episode mini series in the Anime animation style. This role is ideal for professionals with a deep understanding of anime aesthetics, narrative structure, and visual storytelling. You will collaborate closely with a senior production team to ensure the series maintains authenticity in design, script, and shot composition. The project is fully remote, with a timeline from late October to early April, and offers the opportunity to influence a high-quality, company-led production.

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide feedback on visual materials, scripts, and storyboards to ensure adherence to authentic anime style
  • Advise on character design, backgrounds, and animation techniques specific to anime
  • Guide the team on shot composition, pacing, and narrative flow
  • Collaborate with writers, animators, and producers to maintain consistency and quality throughout the project
  • Offer creative solutions to challenges in design and storytelling
  • Ensure all deliverables align with the project’s vision and timeline

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven expertise in anime production, direction, or consulting
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating work on anime or anime-inspired projects
  • In-depth knowledge of anime visual language, character design, and storytelling conventions
  • Experience reviewing and critiquing scripts, storyboards, and animation sequences
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
  • Availability from late October through early April
