We are a highly regarded, specialist ecology consultancy, employing a team of 15 ecologists and a water quality expert with bases in Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Nelson. We have a diverse national public and private sector clientele spread across the motu.

The Role

Depending on your level of experience, you’ll be doing some or all of the following :

  • Demonstrating self, internal and external team and client leadership.
  • Delivering a high standard of ecology expertise in all areas of the business, including proposals, field studies, data analysis, reporting and expert evidence.
  • Project management, including client communications, managing project team members, project budgets, and ensuring QAQC.
  • Assisting / leading the preparation of proposals.
  • Assisting / leading freshwater and terrestrial ecology surveys throughout Aotearoa.
  • Analysing and presenting field survey data.
  • Preparing ecological due diligence, compliance monitoring, assessments of effects, opportunities and constraints reports, restoration plans, and expert evidence.
  • Identifying and implementing initiatives that improve the operation, client experience and reputation of the business.
  • Actively seeking opportunities to expand Ecological Solutions services.

  • Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of ecology experience for senior ecologists.
  • MSc or a higher equivalent degree in ecology.
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of application.
  • Full New Zealand driver’s license.
