Responsibilities
Preparation, cooking and serving of food for service.
Preparation, cooking and serving of staff meals.
Ensure all food is served and stored at the correct temperatures and meets Hotel standards, menu specifications and Kitchen guidelines.
Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
Follow all sanitation and hygienic food handling procedures set out by legislation and hotel policy.
Assisting with any other kitchen duties as required by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Preferred Skills and Experience
2 years experience in a similar role (preferred)
A certificate at NZQF Level 4, or higher, in Cookery preferred.
A current Food Handling Certificate is beneficial.
Passion for food and dedication to delivering high-quality dishes.
Flexible in availability to work morning and evening shifts.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsible and reliable, with the ability to work early mornings and weekends.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
