Forklift / Hold Bay Operator

Sort Bay / Forklift Operator - Christchurch

We're looking for a reliable and skilled Sort Bay / Forklift Operator on a six month fixed term basis, potentially long term for the right candidate to join a busy production team in Christchurch.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role - ideal for someone safety-focused, physically fit, and mechanically minded.

Your Responsibilities

Operate in the sort bay, checking and organising products

Remove defective items and re-palletise as needed

Stack, bundle, and prepare goods for dispatch

Assist with strapping, wrapping, and moving pallets

Update records by scanning or entering pallet card details

Support the production team with general labouring tasks

What We're Looking For

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Team player who can adapt to changing tasks

Safety-conscious and able to follow Health & Safety procedures

PPE Provided

Safety boots, hi-vis clothing, earmuffs, and safety glasses

Requirements

Current forklift licence (OSH)

Proven forklift operating experience in a similar environment

Mechanically minded, able to spot and report issues

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks

Good rate plus allowances.
