About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at our Murray Halberg Retirement Village, Lynfield, Auckland.

We have a position available in the Dementia Unit working a combination of a Caregiver and Activity and Lifestyle Coordinator.

This position is full time working Tuesday to Saturday as a Caregiver 0900 - 1300 and an Activities & Lifestyle Coordinator 1330 - 1730.

In the Caregiver role you will

Provide high quality care and function as an effective member of the team within a safe and homely environment

Carry out resident care as detailed in each residents care plan

Be enrolled in the Certificate in Person Centred Dementia Care

Promote happiness, wellbeing and quality of life for all residents

Work closely with, and support your colleagues

In the Activities & Lifestyle Coordinator role you will

Partner with residents to support engagement in activities of living

Provide group activities that attract engagement for our residents living with dementia

Liase with community and other external activity groups to coordinate volunteer involvement, visiting programmes and outings

Coordinate activity programmes and ideas specific to each residents care and interests

Promote happiness, wellbeing and quality of life for all residents

Work closely with, and support your colleagues
