Te tunga | The role

This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months on the Customer Data Tools Project (CDTP), ideally based in Wellington however Christchurch will be considered for the right candidate.

You will be a member of CDTP, working very closely with the Change Manager and reporting to the Unit Manager – Customer Services and Support Team 3.

This role plays a critical part in the success of customers requiring technical support to change their technical setups and adopt the future state.

This role would suit someone who can show :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and / or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years working with technology and engaging both customer and business stakeholders across public and private sectors.
  • Strong communicator able to present technical information to varied audiences and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience delivering systems-integration projects (e.g., APIs) and working across both technology and business workstreams.
  • Proficiency with data-dissemination systems and everyday office tools (Microsoft 365, online meeting and communication platforms).
  • Solid understanding of customer-data technologies, including screen-scraping, crawlers, and AI-driven methods.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and flex across tasks, contributing to other priority projects as needed.
  • Competency or fluency in te reo Maori language or possess a willingness to develop knowledge and competence.
