Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to staff movements, we have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our busy Christchurch branch! With a focus on operational efficiency and building a strong team culture, this is a hands-on role where you’ll be at the centre of all activity.

Shift : Monday – Friday 10.00am – 6.30pm

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of freight handling, staff training and related activities to provide quality service to internal and external customers.

Key Duties Include

  • Staff training and related activities to provide quality service to customers
  • Operate forklifts, unloading & loading of units
  • Develop working relationships with customers
  • Schedule and conduct team briefings daily
  • Ensure all freight are properly identified, re origin and destination
  • Make sure scanning of freight is done properly
  • Actively promote health and safety through daily team huddles

What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga?

  • Full Class 1 license – must have
  • Hold a current F and OSH endorsed forklift license – must have
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisor role
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Transport, Freight and Logistics
  • Ability to coach and grow others
