Our team are passionate environmentalists, committed to powering the circular economy for future generations of Aotearoa New Zealand.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe have an opportunity for an Operator to join the team at the Waitara and Inglewood Transfer Station in a part time role.About the roleIn this role, you will have the responsibility for the safe and tidy operation of the transfer station, and recycling area and assisting the public with general enquires while maintaining a professional image of the company and delivering high-quality customer service.With limited hours of operation this role would be a good fit from someone wanting a few hours a week including weekends and enjoys public interaction.Key responsibilities of the positionControl the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited by customersOperate onsite plant and equipment as / if requiredDirect traffic and provide general information to customersMaintain all buildings, grounds, roadways, and landscaping in a clean and tidy conditionUndertake general labouring duties as requiredAssist with general administration, completing all records and paperwork as directedQualificationsTo be successful in this role : Take pride in your work and environmentAbility to work both autonomously and as part of a teamA good level of fitness is required to carry out the duties of the roleGood awareness of safetyDemonstrate ahigh quality of serviceAdditional InformationWhat's in it for meGuaranteed hours and job securityCompetitive hourly rate + company benefits for you and your family to enjoyRefer a friend scheme $1,500Valid and rewarding career pathRewarding contribution to the community and environmentWe are an essential service, if you are keen to learn and looking for a driving role, we can offer you a great career with us!
