ABIRehabilitation has an opportunity for a Social Worker to join our progressiveinterdisciplinary team.
This role provides social work services in ourinpatient / residential brain injury facility, supporting clients and whanau tonavigate their rehabilitation journey and transition back to the community.
Theapp licant must have excellent communication and a demonstrated track record ofteamwork to provide specialist social work services to clients presenting withacquired brain injury.
The caseload isvaried and includes completion of effective social work interventions toenhance the client and whanau recovery journey, whanau / client counselling andliaison, working within an interdisciplinary model that aligns with thevaluesof ABI Rehabilitation, operating in an environment most appropriate to theclients' social and cultural needs.
The successfulapplicant will work in partnership with other team members including theclient, therapists, nursing team, and funders to achieve person-centeredoutcomes, and will be a registered member of SWRB NZ.
A minimum of threeyears post-graduate experience with a minimum of two years' experience workingwith clients who have neurological impairments, or advanced practice in arehabilitation setting, is preferable.
