The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the MSP industry and a proven track record of driving business growth.

This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategies to increase Cogent's market share.The key attributes for success in this position are the ability to work strategically with internal cross-functional teams as well as external customers to improve their Cogent experience.Key ResponsibilitiesPossess a true 'hunter' mentalityMust have an outstanding track record of achieving targeted sales resultsIdentify and develop new business opportunities – new logosIncrease the current Managed Service revenue with new salesBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their business objectivesCollaborate with Sales Management to create compelling proposals and presentationsProvide insights and recommendations to senior management to inform business strategyWork closely with the Service Delivery Management, Customer Success, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfactionTrack and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and business development activities using Cogents CRM of choice, AutotaskConduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrityProvide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputationMust be capable of presenting to senior-level decision makers and position the Cogent suite of products to customers, to meet their business communication needsMust have the ability to accurately forecast business as well as meet or exceed assigned sales quotasRequirementsFive (5) years of sales and account management experience in high technology, telecommunication, and SaaSKnowledge and experience in strategic sales methodology as well as leading account strategy sessions, customer executive briefings and technology roadmapsAn excellent communicator with effective verbal and non-verbal active listening skillsExcellent selling, negotiation, and time management skillsA problem solver and strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgencyAbility to develop and cultivate long-lasting relationshipsOrganized, highly self-managed and self-starting
