    As a Junior Engineer, you’ll help us deliver our vision of “super simple” experiences for Kiwibank customers and staff. You’ll contribute quality software engineering, collaborate to create a safe and inclusive environment, and help build fast feedback loops that drive evidence-based decisions. You’ll be part of a team that values the engineering experience and super-star teams over teams of superstars, making a real difference for Kiwi.

    At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and develop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills and experience :

    • Proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve successful goals
    • Familiarity with building applications in at least one language ecosystem – preferably C#
    • Exposure to Kafka and Terraform is beneficial
    • Strong curiosity for how things work and how they might break, with a keen eye for detail
    • Confident in verbal and written communication, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute across the full software lifecycle, from development to automated testing and deployment
    • Basic understanding of backend development concepts (e.g., APIs, databases)
    • Good documentation skills and ability to communicate using online collaboration tools
