We're looking for a Head of Engineering & Product Management – Key Results Areas (KRAs)
Light force Solar
1. Engineering Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
Oversee resource planning, recruitment, training, and professional development of engineering staff.
Ensure efficient allocation of workload across the engineering team to meet project deadlines and maintain quality.
2. Design Engineering Excellence
Deliver high-quality, accurate engineering designs that meet industry and regulatory standards.
Ensure consistency, precision, and accuracy in system sizing, calculations, and technical documentation.
Implement and monitor quality control processes across all engineering outputs.
Allocate design tasks effectively among team members based on expertise and project requirements.
3. Project Delivery & Technical Oversight
Oversee the end-to-end engineering process for residential, commercial, and industrial solar and battery projects.
Ensure projects are designed, engineered, and executed to meet performance, cost, and quality targets.
Provide expert technical input to sales, operations, and installation teams.
4. Product Development & Innovation
Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies and solutions, including :
Solar PV and Battery Storage
Wind Generation Systems
Monitoring Software and Metering Solutions
Ensure product development efforts strengthen the company's competitive advantage and can be commercialized into scalable revenue streams.
Manage product lifecycles, from R&D through to commercialization and ongoing improvement.
5. Supplier Development & Selection
Establish and manage strong relationships with suppliers and technology partners.
Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection processes to ensure best-in-class technology and value.
Drive collaboration with suppliers to co-develop and improve products aligned with Light force's strategic goals.
6. Standards, Compliance & Safety
Ensure all designs and solutions comply with national and international standards, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
Embed safety, reliability, and compliance as core principles in engineering and product development.
7. Commercial & Strategic Contribution
Support commercial teams with technical insights to strengthen bids, proposals, and client presentations.
Align engineering and product management priorities with the company's growth strategy.
Deliver cost optimization and margin improvement through engineering innovation.
8. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Leadership
Drive process improvement initiatives across engineering, design, and product development functions.
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Represent Light force Solar in thought leadership forums, conferences, and technical events where appropriate.
