As a Community Living Support | Lifestyle Coach, you'll work alongside tangata whaiora (the people we support) to help them live with greater independence and purpose.
You'll empower and support tangata to set and reach their own goals in ways that work for them.
This is a practical, people-focused role requiring empathy, initiative, and patience, with real impact as you walk alongside tangata to grow their confidence and independence.
What you'll be doing
Helping tangata develop everyday skills so they can live more independently, confidently, and connected to their community
Supporting goal setting — from budgeting to catching the bus or building routines
Encouraging participation in community life, including whanau visits, hobbies, and cultural activities
Providing calm, practical support when challenges arise
Keeping accurate notes and communicating clearly with your team
Managing your time across multiple tangata and adapting when plans change
Part-time | Fixed roster
Tuesday : 11 : 00pm – 7 : 00am (Sleepover)
Thursday : 11 : 00pm – 7 : 00am (Sleepover)
Saturday : 7 : 00am – 3 : 00pm (Day shift)
Sunday : 3 : 00pm – 11 : 00pm; 11 : 00pm – 7 : 00am (Sleepover)

What you'll bring
A calm, caring and respectful approach to support others
Willingness to learn about kaupapa Maori values and ways of working
Good communication and ability to work well in a team
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
Full driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
Experience working with vulnerable adults or in mental health or disability is a bonus
NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (level 2 or above) is also a bonus, but not essential
