Overview

Part time, Fixed term, up to 0.5 FTTE. Start Date : 28 / 01 / 2026. End Date : 16 / 12 / 2026 (covering a teacher on leave).

Physical address : 96 Memorial Avenue, Ilam, Christchurch.

Role and responsibilities

• Join the junior team at the beginning of 2026 in a 0.5 FTTE role, teaching in the primary and intermediate range (Years 1–8).
• Deliver instruction across subjects including English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, and The arts.
• Collaborate with the wider school team to support holistic outcomes for tamariki (academic, social and emotional development).
• Be prepared to work within a collaborative learning environment and engage with the cultural diversity of the kura whānau.
• Preference for strengths in BSLA, Maths No Problem, te reo Māori, PB4L and English Language Learners.

Qualifications and attributes

Note : This position is fixed term and part time to cover a leave; it is intended to start at the beginning of the 2026 school year and end on 16 December 2026.
