Area Sales Manager – North Island – New Zealand
Preferred candidate must be a New Zealand citizen or hold New Zealand work rights.
We are offering a permanent, full‑time, home‑office based role (starting January 2026) covering the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne regions. Due to local and regional travel, the role includes use of a Tool of Trade vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute territory plans to achieve sales and profit targets and expand market share.
- Consistent planning and relationship management of a customer base.
- Develop new business opportunities.
- Present and promote product releases and promotional activities to build brand awareness.
- Provide training on all products within the range internally and externally to all stakeholders.
- Gather and report market trends, activities, and competitor information.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop initiatives to close gaps or optimize new opportunities.
- Attend trade events, new store openings, and scheduled training.
Qualifications
Proven sales experience and success.Planning, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to uphold and execute all sales excellence processes and standards.Power tools / hardware / trade experience (highly desirable).Experience training and demonstrating the product range to stakeholders.High level of market, competitor, and product knowledge.Strong business acumen.Experience using CRM programs.Web‑based reporting using Tableau or similar tools.Proficient in MS Office and MS Teams.High attention to detail and self‑discipline.Exposure to the Construction industry (advantageous).Availability for regular travel as required.Benefits
