About the role

On behalf of the Manchester Street School Board, I would like to thank you for your time in applying for a Scale A classroom release specialist permanent teaching position at our kura for 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our amazing school community and join our dynamic and robust teaching team.

Our new appointment will be someone who lives our school values 'E manaaki ana matou - We CARE'.

They will be someone who wants to have a positive impact on tamariki and their whanau.

We are proud of our Green / Gold Enviro School status and we want all our kaiako to help us to develop this special character further.

Our kura is in an exciting position as we continue to grow and understand how we can enact and honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our hapori here in Kawakawa o Ngati Kauwhata.

This is a full-time C.R.T. role who will need to teach across our kura.

Referees of all short-listed applicants will be contacted.

Responsibilities

Teach across the kura (Years 1–8) as a Classroom Release Specialist.

Support and uphold school values 'E manaaki ana matou - We CARE' and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Support the Green / Gold Enviro School program and our requests to advance this character.

Engage with Te Tiriti o Waitangi in our hapori and collaborate with whanau and staff.

Qualifications and attributes

Certificated teacher.

Experience or ability to teach across primary and intermediate years (Years 1–8).
