Work on multiple engineering projects across NZ

This leading supplier of dust and fume extraction equipment services a wide variety of clientele across New Zealand and are unique with their work where no two projects are the same.

With this company progressively moving forward they are definitely going places and are looking for a like-minded Project Site Manager to join them on their exciting journey!

Responsibilities

Work closely with sales, design, and warehouse staff as well as installers and sub-contractors on jobs.

Manage multiple projects throughout New Zealand including scheduling of work, pre-assembly of specialised gear, logistics, and conducting installation and final commissioning on site.

Be heavily involved with contract management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, and contractors / subcontractors to ensure satisfaction through on-time and within-budget project completion.

Travel to sites; spend 1–2 days away from home per week for project management and commissioning, including coordinating contractors and installers on various sites.

Operate with a focus on health and safety and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications (ideally mechanical) or a proven track record in the engineering industry.

Experience from mechanical and strong electrical understanding.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective leadership and credibility in the engineering industry.

Requirements

Excellent communication and PR skills.

Attention to detail and ability to achieve high quality control and workmanship.

Well organised with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.

Confident contract negotiation and client liaison.

Ability to cope with change and variations at short notice.

Availability to respond to emergency call-outs or breakdowns on demand.

Ability to manage projects within strict budgets and timeframes.

Collaborative problem-solving with others for technical and design issues.

Health and safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment.

Professional representation of the company in all interactions.
