Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the Role0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight)This role will involve coordinating and case managing aspects of the perioperative process for patients in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL), including clinical oversight of referrals into ORL to support safe management of a patient's journey through the elective surgery process and clinical coordination of outpatient and inpatient waitlists in line with the Ministry of Health compliance timeframes for elective surgery.This is a fixed-term role for 12 months due to limited funding.About the Team / Service / LocationWe are a team that works at pace, with passion, vision, and intent.

Our nurses are pivotal to our success, and you will be expected to engage fully with the whole team.You will work closely with the Perioperative Nurse Coordinators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinicians, and the Administration team.

Additionally, you will be able to work autonomously, positively, and proactively with patients, clinicians, nurses, and other key stakeholders.About youThe successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, initiative, a sound work ethic, and be well-organised with the ability to prioritise based on clinical assessment.You will also demonstrate a commitment to the provision of safe and appropriate patient- and family-focused healthcare delivery.This role would suit a well-organised, self-starter at Level 3 or above with current ORL experience.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
