Argus is a well-known company with over 40 years of experience in the fire protection industry. The company covers all aspects, including fire system design, installation, and ongoing testing and maintenance of fire systems.

Due to our continued growth, an opportunity has presented itself for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join the Auckland Alarm Minor Works team.

The role would suit a Senior Fire Alarm Technician with excellent analogue addressable programming experience. In addition, experience with gaseous suppression systems is highly desirable.

We need someone who is excellent working with people, can get the best out of staff and clients.

Candidates Must Demonstrate

  • Minimum 5 plus years' experience.
  • High-level experience & competency in fire alarm systems.
  • Competency in all aspects of contracting or service within the fire protection industry in NZ.
  • An excellent understanding of the relevant NZ Standards and NZ Building Code.
  • Unquestionable communication skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Excellent record keeping and report compilation skills.
  • High level of personal hygiene.
  • Ability to multitask, schedule work, and prioritise your workload.

Other Responsibilities Within This Role Will Include

  • Representing the company with Architects, Engineers, and Consultants.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety.
  • Management of cost-effective purchasing of labour and materials.
  • Achieving further sales of the company's products and services.
  • Monitoring of jobs to meet agreed completion dates and budgets
  • Provision of technical information, advice, and assistance
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to be cool under pressure and be able to negotiate between different stakeholders, and will have a strong track record in organising resources efficiently and effectively in a cost-effective manner.
