About the role

Lead the Core Laboratory, overseeing biochemistry, immunology, and haematology services.

Work with section leaders to deliver high-quality, timely diagnostics in a collaborative, open environment.

Key responsibilities

Coach and mentor team members, providing technical advice, training, and education.

Organise and prioritise workflow to meet organisational and client requirements efficiently.

Maintain high laboratory standards and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

Foster an open, collaborative, supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with a specialisation in Biochemistry or Haematology.

Minimum 7 years experience as a registered scientist, preferably in an automated core laboratory.

At least 3 years of supervisory or staff management experience.

Proven leadership skills, capable of inspiring a diverse team.

Strong technical expertise and thorough understanding of laboratory protocols, practices, and accreditation requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexible to work Monday-Friday, 8 am-7 pm, with occasional after-hour support.
