What this job can offer you

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as a Lifecycle Specialist - Contracts Management, joining our Employee Lifecycle team. The Specialist, Lifecycle - Contracts Management will ensure that all contract related activities for Remote’s external employees and clients are performed with focus on legal compliance and superior employee experience without compromising on speed. You will be reporting to Employee Lifecycle Manager.

What you bring

  • Experience as an HR Advisor, HR Operations, or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies and exposure across the employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience with managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity and legal compliance; and providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze HR issues, research, provide practical solutions and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to lead difficult conversations professionally and confidentially.
  • Business-level English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Aptitude for innovating and optimizing processes, identifying automation opportunities and promoting best practices.
  • Efficiency in operations with thorough record-keeping and data integrity awareness.
  • Tech-savvy with ability to collaborate asynchronously on tools and adapt to new systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous remote environment with multiple priorities; willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with ownership and accountability.
  • Keen interest in documentation and asynchronous working.
  • Familiar with Notion, Slack, Zendesk and G-suite.
  • Experience in a remote setting or hyper-growth startup is a plus; remote experience not required but a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and resolve end-to-end employee lifecycle events across 80+ international jurisdictions with focus on an exceptional experience for Remote’s clients and their employees.
  • Manage modifications to Employment Agreements for internal and external employees, including amendments and related documents as part of Remote’s global HR team.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance in employee lifecycle activities (payroll, legal, government bodies, unions).
  • Assist Senior Specialists on initiatives affecting multiple countries and support HR and financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and update global internal documentation on Contracts Management; address inquiries on employment matters with Lifecycle stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to clients and employees on HR matters as a trusted consultant.
  • Draft and administer employee lifecycle documents with accuracy and maintain records with privacy and confidentiality.
  • Process lifecycle events on Remote’s HRIS, collaborating with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Offboarding, Time and Attendance, and other teams to ensure accuracy and promptness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, product development, and better customer / employee experience.
  • Safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and actual base pay depends on location, skills, experience, and market demands. The annual salary range for this full-time position is $26,350—$59,300 USD.
