Events Auckland Marquee & Party Hire based in Auckland is a fast-growing company in the marquee and event hire industry, providing high-quality equipment and services to our clients. We're looking for a reliable and hard-working individuals to join our team as Marquee Installer / Portaloo Serviceman(2 Positions).

Job Summary :

We're seeking a versatile and mechanically-minded individual to work on a night shift and weekend schedule (Thursday - Monday). This is a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, dismantling, and maintaining our marquee and party hire equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic company with a growing reputation in the industry.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Install and dismantle marquees, lighting, flooring, and other equipment for events.
  • Clean and prepare marquees and party hire equipment upon return from events.
  • Load and assist clients with pick-ups and returns.
  • Provide professional delivery and pick-up service to clients.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and safe at all times.
  • Ensure all vehicles are kept tidy and presentable.
  • Perform general tasks on slow days, such as painting and cleaning.
  • Install and dismantle wedding products.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks for our Portaloo units.
  • Carry out service on Portaloo on various sites.
  • Portaloo Delivery / Pickup.

Requirements :

  • Must be available to work night shifts (Thursday - Monday) including public Holidays.
  • We need someone with either a minimum of High school certificate or higher diploma / degree in any field OR 1 years of experience in a similar role (marquee or event hire industry).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • The candidate should be physically fit and should have ability to lift heavy objects (up to 20 kg) and work at heights (when necessary) and be able to install solar panel and tower units. Bonus knowledge of electrical systems certification and licenses would be an advantage as companies’ solar department is expanding, but this is not mandatory.
  • A clean NZ or Equivalent overseas Driver License is required.
  • Reliable, punctual, and honest individual with a strong work ethic
  • Pay Rate :

    The pay rate for this position will be $27.00
