About the role
We are currently seeking two dedicated, enthusiastic, and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientists or Technicians to join our Core Laboratory team, one in a full-time role and one in a part-time role.
Both positions are based at our Masterton Laboratory and include participation in a 24 / 7 rotating roster, sharing the same responsibilities and expectations.
You will be willing to learn new skills, work well alone and as part of a team.
Extremely well-organised, detail-oriented, and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service.
The successful applicant must have a high degree of accuracy and be self-sufficient to excel in this role.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to :
A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Excellent attention to detail, with good record keeping skills.
The ability to work independently, while in a supported role.
Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.
Flexibility with your working hours will be invaluable to the team.
A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety, operation of equipment and hands-on practical experience in a Laboratory.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
If you do not yet have your registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, we will also consider candidates who are in the process of becoming qualified
