We're on the lookout for a practical, hands-on technician with great people skills to step into a 12-month maternity cover position as Team Lead at our Rotorua clinic.At Vetora Bay of Plenty, we're passionate about supporting farmers and their animals and creating a workplace where our people thrive.
You'll join a knowledgeable, down-to-earth team that works closely with production animal vets across a broad range of services.What the role involves :
- Leading a small team of Rural Vet Techs, supporting their day-to-day work, training, and development
- Delivering services including disbudding, dry cow therapy & teatsealing, metrichecking, calf weighing, body condition scoring, and vaccinating
- Working closely with our vets and farmers to ensure high-quality care and great service
- Managing schedules, stock, and service coordination alongside the clinic teamWhat we're looking for :
- A qualified or experienced Veterinary Technician, with experience working within the dairy industry
- Proven leadership qualities, or a genuine interest in developing these skills
- Organised, positive, and confident in both practical work and customer service
- Able to lead by example and bring out the best in a team
- A full NZ driver's licence and a strong commitment to health and safety
- A role with variety, autonomy and connection to the land
