What is Choices in Community Living?
Choices in Community Living (CICL) is person-centred support service for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities.
We provide tailored, one-on-one support that helps people live in their own homes, engage with their communities, and pursue meaningful goals — from employment and education to friendships and hobbies.
Our support is guided by the principles of Enabling Good Lives (EGL), a values-based approach that places people at the centre of their own lives.
This means we work in partnership with each person to ensure their support is personalised, strengths-based, and aligned with their goals and aspirations.
We promote choice and control, enabling people to make decisions about how they live, who they connect with, and what matters most to them.
Support is designed to foster meaningful inclusion in the community — not just participation, but genuine belonging.
As a Community Support Worker, you take on tasks that are dynamic and will depend on the needs and dreams of each person.
You provide assistance with daily activities such as community participation, socialising, work or education, personal cares and domestic chores, as well as responsibility for reporting and administration.
Every action you take contributes to building a life that reflects the person's values, interests, and potential — a life like any other.
