Job Description
We're looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team, this is a pivotal role that supports financial reporting and tax compliance across the business, ensuring accuracy, accountability and excellence at every step.
You'll work closely with the Group Finance & Tax Manager to work in partnership with stakeholders across the business from the CFO and Executive Leadership Team through to auditors, advisors and our shareholders.
Key responsibilities of this role include
Preparing IFRS-compliant Group Financial Statements (interim and full year).
Managing month-end close and group consolidation activities.
Completing Bright Dairy monthly and annual reporting packs.
Supporting taxation workstreams including GST, income tax and R&D tax credits.
Assisting with treasury, insurance and sustainability reporting.
Contributing to investor materials and ad-hoc finance projects.
You'll be someone who digs deeper, who wants to understand the story behind the numbers, connect insights to impact, and help drive smarter, stronger business decisions.
Skills And Experience
You're a technically strong, commercially savvy finance professional with around 3–5 years' experience in a Chartered Accounting firm or large corporate environment.
You're confident navigating complex group structures and have a natural curiosity for how businesses operate.
3–5 years' experience in a Chartered Accounting firm or large corporate environment
Strong working knowledge of IFRS / NZ GAAP
Experience preparing and / or auditing consolidated financial statements
Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — you know how to translate numbers into stories people understand
