Agronomy Technician

PGG Wrightson Seeds, part of global seed company DLF, is the largest proprietary seed company in the southern hemisphere, operating across New Zealand and worldwide.

Our work ranges from research and development to seed supply and on-farm support.

We are currently looking for a permanent part-time Agronomy Technician to join our team in Ruakura, Hamilton.

Position Summary

Permanent part-time (16 hours per week).

The Agronomy Technician will assist the forage research team with planning, implementing, and reporting forage trials throughout the Waikato region.

Responsibilities include field operations, general farm tasks, statistical analysis of agronomy data, and scientific report writing.

Desirable Attributes

Tertiary qualified in an agricultural related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role

Sound knowledge of and genuine interest in plants, agriculture, and farming

Commitment to working in a research and development field

Understanding of New Zealand farm systems and how our products can add value
