The Role
We are urgently seeking an experienced and highly organised Contracts Manager to join our Christchurch head office team. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of our sales and settlement process, ensuring every contract is managed accurately and efficiently from conditional through to unconditional and final settlement.
Work Setup
- Schedule : 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and some weekend work when we have development open days
- Work Arrangement : Onsite reporting required — not a remote role
- Employment Type : Full time, permanent
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of 50–80 conditional contracts and 150+ unconditional contracts not yet settledReview, and explain property sale & purchase agreements and (where applicable) loan agreementsLiaise daily with the mortgage brokers, solicitors, purchasers, and the internal sales teamEnsure all conditions are satisfied in a timely manner and contracts move smoothly to unconditional statusMaintain impeccable accuracy across multiple data systems (HubSpot CRM, Stocklist, Google Sheets, in-house reporting tools)Reconcile data and documentation on a daily / weekly basisProvide clear, professional, and friendly communication with customers and the sales teamAssist with general office management and ad-hoc tasks as required (we are a close-knit, all-hands‑on‑deck team)About You – Essential Requirements
Strong legal background in understanding contract law OR extensive practical experience drafting / reviewing property sale & purchase agreements (and ideally loan agreements where required for property purchases)Exceptional attention to detail and a natural habit of reconciling data and keeping systems 100% accurateProven ability to manage a high volume of contracts simultaneously without dropping the ballAdvanced skills in Google Sheets / Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, data validation, etc.)Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot experience highly advantageous)A calm, pleasant, and professional demeanour – you will be dealing with excited (and sometimes anxious) purchasers and a fast-moving sales team“Can-do” attitude and willingness to help with whatever is needed in a rapidly growing companyDesirable (but we will fully train the right person)
Previous experience in property development, real estate law, conveyancing, or high-volume contract administrationFamiliarity with New Zealand property settlement processes and standard ADLS sale & purchase agreementsWhat We Offer
