Akonga at Te Kura choose subjects based on their passions and interests, accessing learning online supported by kaiako who guide, inspire, and drive engagement. Alongside this, kaiako provide pastoral care and connect with akonga through regular huinga ako — online or face to face — where learners connect, receive guidance, and strengthen their sense of belonging.

We're looking for a dedicated kaiako with expertise in Primary from years 1 - 6 to join our Central South region, based in Wellington.

In this role you will :

• Support akonga to engage deeply in learning that is aligned with their goals, passions and interests.
• Facilitate regular huinga ako (online and face-to-face) to provide pastoral care, connection, and personalised learning
• Provide constructive feedback and feedforward on akonga learning
• Collaborate with colleagues and whanau to create flexible, engaging learning experiences
• Have a genuine interest in learning and embracing te reo Maori, with a commitment to growing your skills
