Foodservice Account Manager

Bidfood Hamilton is the leading Foodservice provider in the greater Waikato and Coromandel region. We have a great team and are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to complement our existing sales team.

The Role

This is a permanent full-time role reporting to the Sales Manager. You will be working in partnership with your customers to grow their business and ours by increasing sales volume and ranging, ensuring sales are well executed. Whilst knowledge of the hospitality industry would be advantageous it is not essential as we place a much higher value on someone who is proactive and customer focused, who gets up every morning excited to tackle the day.

In this role, being a skilled communicator is key and having a background in account management would be a plus. However, what really matters is your knack for connecting with people and cultivating solid relationships. Your ability to communicate effectively, coupled with your enthusiasm for building strong ties, is crucial. Alongside this, your competitive spirit and determination to achieve targets will pave the way for success.

We're looking for someone who loves to seek new opportunities and turn them in to results. It's a busy role, and we'll expect you to fit a lot in to your day – so, you'll need to be well planned and efficient in your approach to your work, and be flexible and adaptable to the various demands of the role. Finally, you'll have the ability to work autonomously, but will also be committed to supporting your wider team, going above and beyond to contribute effectively to team success.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need :

• Be based in Hamilton or North Waikato.
• Clean Full Driver’s License.
• Commute to Hamilton Branch as and when required.
• Minimum 45 hours a week.
