Business Development Manager - Lower Hutt

MTF Lower Hutt is a franchise of MTF, a nationwide network of local people providing tailored finance solutions to Kiwis since 1970. The Lower Hutt franchise is currently experiencing strong growth and seeks to appoint a Business Development Manager to join its busy and successful team.

Instead of looking for somebody who “ticks all the boxes”, we’re interested in hearing from sales-focused people, passionate about the Local community, and keen to continuously seek out new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong local network and the ability to start conversations with people from all walks of life.

Important components of the role include identification of potential markets and development of sales strategies to grow market share by cultivating long-term relationships with key business and referral sources.

In addition, the Business Development Manager will be trained in MTF's sales systems and processes and will work collaboratively with the sales team in closing sales and writing loans.

We seek dynamic candidates with demonstrable business development and / or sales experience.

Tenacious, resilient, and highly motivated, the successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of long lead time selling.

Exceptional relationship building and communication skills along with a customer focused approach are essential.

Candidates with existing knowledge of consumer lending legislation are of interest, along with those possessing established local networks.

This is ideally a full-time position, but some flexibility may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
