BreastScreen Midland, Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, is looking for an exceptional senior Health Promoter to raise awareness of, and participation in, the free national breast screening programme in our region (Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Lakes districts), prioritising engagement with Māori and Pacific communities.
You will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating engagement initiatives and education sessions. Combining your established community networks and ability to engage with our eligible age group (45-74 years), you will make a genuine difference and improve outcomes for whānau and aiga.

About the Team / Service
Breast Screen Aotearoa (BSA) is a breast cancer screening programme providing mammograms every two years for eligible women aged 45-69 years. We have recently rolled out age extension to those eligible up-to 74. There are eight providers covering New Zealand, of which Breast Screen Midland is one. Breast Screen Midland (BSM) covers the geographic boundaries of the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Lakes District regions. BSM currently offers this service from eight fixed sites across the region and is supported by two mobiles that travel around the region providing accessibility for rural women (soon to be a fleet of four mobiles)
