About the Role

The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the store’s day-to-day operations and leading the team to achieve sales and service goals. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily store operations to ensure the shop runs efficiently.

Maintain store cleanliness, visual displays, and overall presentation standards.

Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock of clothing, shoes, general merchandise, and gifts.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns to provide excellent service.

Lead the team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff.

Prepare staff rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels.

Update product displays and implement promotional activities.

Analyze sales data to identify best-selling and slow-moving products.

Conduct regular stock takes and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Manage cash handling, daily reconciliation, and bank deposits.

Prepare sales and operational reports for management.

Ensure the store complies with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure all staff follow company policies and procedures.

Communicate with suppliers regarding purchasing, restocking, and pricing

Job pre-requisites :

At least two years’ working experience gained in the same industry

Relevant qualification or certificate is preferrable but not a must

Smile on your face always

Excellent communication skills

Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
